Community Engagement & Indigenous Design Integration

Rosina Baumann

ROSINA COMES FROM THE SOUTHEAST COAST OF QUEENSLAND AND WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO GROW UP ON BUTCHULLA COUNTRY, WHICH IS THE ABORIGINAL COMMUNITY SHE PROUDLY IDENTIFIES WITH AS A DESCENDANT OF THE WONUMUTTA FAMILY FROM K’GARI.

Rosina is also a proud descendant of the Kabi Kabi people, South Sea Islander peoples of Tanna Island and acknowledges her German heritage too.

Currently completing a Bachelor of Architectural Studies at the University of New South Wales, Rosina has been exposed to the built environment industry over the course of her study.

This exposure has directed Rosina to an interest in the integration of Aboriginal design through the built environment. As an Indigenous design integration assistant with Balarinji, she hopes to contribute to the impactful work being developed in the industry.
